    The Great Gordino Newsletter - Issue 284 - Mon 31st Jan 2005
    ***************************************************

    Hi There,

I hope all is well where you are.

Last week I talked about a 10 year success story, presenting
    your future, and chain reactions.
For examples I used one of my jobs dressed as a furry alien,
the opportunity to get millionaires to give you their money, and
    the equation E=MC2.
If you missed any of them, energise your finger over to the
    main archive link above!

I went to a jam session yesterday, having given them a miss for
    a couple of weeks.
I was finding that the experience had become a bit routine for
me, so I had a little break which left me looking forward to going.

I had a good time as expected, and was able to draw a couple
of points to talk about today.

Firstly, I noticed a rather alarming drop in popularity.
The pub was heaving with people, and the gents' was
correspondingly full when I walked in.
Within about 10 seconds though, it had emptied.
This is a bad sign, as it always used to only be the ladies' that
    emptied when I walked in.

    Hmm...

The second thing I noticed concerned a young singer who was
making his first jam session appearance.
He is the son of a bloke who is in a local band, and who is well
    known at the jams.
When his son got up to sing, he looked *just* like his dad,
    except with more hair.
His expressions and style of singing matched his dad's exactly.
Its a weird style as well, as if a red hot poker had been put
    where the sun doesn't shine.

It reminded me of another local father and son musical
    similarity, this time guitarists.
The young guitarist plays like his father, and again the
    expressions are similar.

It looks strange to see, but of course it's only natural.

Whether consciously or subconsciously, the children have
absorbed the styles from the parent.
We all form our early patterns form those around us the most,
and this also applies to our beliefs and philosophies.

Sometimes they can be *so* damaging.
Of course, sometimes those beliefs can be hugely rewarding, but
in my view it's important to analyse these beliefs, to judge for
yourself whether you need to change them or stick with them.
Just because you absorbed those beliefs, it doesn't necessarily
make them the right ones for you.

Ok, thats it for today, and here's the thought - what do you do
    just like your parents?

    'Til Wednesday,
    Health and Happiness,
    Gordon
