    Hi There,
I hope this Monday finds you well.
I saw an interesting title for an article recently.
It was called 'I'm Thinking, But Not Growing Rich'.
Assuming it was refering to Napoleon Hill's 'Think And Grow Rich'
book, and summing up a feeling I've felt myself in the past, I
    read on.
I was right, it did indeed refer to the situation where you have
your list of goals, you read them outloud at least twice a day,
but you don't seem to be getting anywhere, in this particular
    case, rich.
This particular article offered a solution which I'm not entirely
    sure I agree with.
It said that someone in this situation is not getting rich because
    they are not thinking correctly.
The author, Bob Doyle, went on to explain the concept that
everything in the universe is energy, and that any particular
reality is just a particular order of that energy.
Hence, to change our reality, we simply need to change the
shape of the energy surrounding us.
Hmm, sounds ok in an airy-fairy sort of way...
Then the article gave examples of wealthy thinking versus poor
    thinking.
Tony Robbins, the hugely successful motivation bod, made a
vast amount of money, then lost it all.
However, because he thinks wealthy, the energy around him
converged to bring the millions back to him.
Conversely, when lottery winners end up poor, it is because they
think with a poverty mindset, and their energy consequently
    takes their money away.
Hmm, reasonable examples to illustrate the idea.
However, I think there is one point missing, and it's the vital
    point.
Before I tell you what it is, let me just veer off slightly into
    quantum physics.
Bob Doyle likes to use quantum physics, and a big theory in the
world of quantum physics, is that the big bang, which created the
universe, was energy created by a random mixture of elements,
but that this random occurence was inevitable.
That is quantum physics in a nutshell.
I tend to think that this inevitability of random events is a bit
too convenient for my liking, but to carry the logic further, since
the creation of our universe was an inevitable random event, it is
guaranteed that there would be other such random events,
    creating other universes.
Stay with me on this one...
As such, 'our' universe is just one grain of sand on a whole
beach of other universes, all existing just next to each other.
Therefore, it's possible to move from one universe to another,
and this is another theory that some goal achievement writers
use, that to attain our goals we simply need to think ourself into
the parallel universe where our goals have happened.
    Double hmm...
All these theories and concepts about alternative universes and
rearranging energy may be interesting, and as the nights draw in
and the temperatures drop here in the UK, I may well be whiling
away several nights mulling over exactly such ideas, but, but,
and I'll say it again, BUT, they will *not* in my opinion get you
    to your goal.
    I can't prove they aren't true, so I won't say they aren't, but
here's the vital key I believe is missing from these theories -
    ACTION.
No goal will become reality without it, however much you think.
Tony Robbins became rich, then became rich again, not just by
    thinking, but by taking action.
A lottery winner that becomes poor, doesn't think the money
    away, there is action.
    Action is the magic word.
In fact it's one of four magic words I wrote about in my
book, 'Transform Your Life in 21 Days!', the link to which is
    below.
Actually one reader has said that the 4th of these 'A' words had
    him 'falling off his chair'.
It's difficult to give definitive answers on things like success and
    happiness.
Personally all I can do is relate how I achieved it in my own life,
and as such, action goes right up there.
So, if you find yourself thinking but not growing rich, imagine
Napoleon Hill's book as being called 'Think And Grow Rich By
Acting', then you'll be much better off.
Ok, that's it for today, your feedback is appreciated as always,
and as you look to the week ahead, map out a timetable of
action towards your goal, and map out a timetable of thinking
towards your goal - which will get you further towards it?
    Have a good week.
    'Til Next Time,
    Health and Happiness,
    Gordon
